To spur new housing development, the City of Hawarden offers a 6% rebate on new homes built in two of the newest subdivisions.  Homeowners will receive a cash rebate equaling 6% of the assessed taxable value of any home built in the Boyer or Hill residential subdivisions.  Large lots with unbeatable views of the nearby river valley, priced at under $10,000, make the homebuilding experience in Hawarden scenic and affordable.
