AI specializes in the development, promotion and extension of corporate and brand trademarks through logoed merchandise. Some of AI’s most notable customers include: Merill Lynch, Saturn, ESPN, IBM, Goodyear, and American Airlines. The Hawarden plant produces promotional headwear and employs approximately 70 individuals.

Since 1990, Cain Consulting Group has provided consulting, publications, and training for nonprofit and government boards and staff across the United States and Canada. The firm’s clients include human service agencies, state/national/international associations, municipal and county governments, libraries, hospitals, cooperatives, tribal councils, schools, and many, many more.

Cain Consulting is based in Hawarden, Iowa. Coilcraft

Coilcraft is a manufacturer of microcoils for communications devices. The company, located in Hawarden for more than 40 years, is proud to name Motorola, Nokia, and other nationally known cellular and paging equipment manufacturers as its customers. Plant Manager Jerry Klemme has this comment about the workforce his company finds in Hawarden, “They are easy to train, they work hard, and they are dedicated to businesses for which they work.” Coilcraft’s Hawarden plant performs much of the research and development and distribution functions for the company.

HSG Iowa

HSG Iowa is a manufacturer of lambskins for an international market. In connection with Iowa Lamb, the company provides lambskins used in such ultra-luxury cars as Bentley and Rolls Royce. The company sells its lambskins around the world with many customers in Southeast Asia and the Middle East. Richard Grossman, owner of the company, recently relocated his corporate headquarters and his family to Hawarden from Denver, CO. Geographic location and quality of life made the move an easy decision.

Iowa Lamb

Iowa Lamb is the country’s second largest producer of processed and case-ready lamb meat. The company ships lamb products to a global market including Southeast Asia and the Middle East. The plant has operated in Hawarden for over twenty years. President Bill Brennan benefits regularly from the inviting business climate in Hawarden. “The Mayor and Council of Hawarden and all of the City staff have always strived to help Iowa Lamb with great utility service. For the last twenty years our business has enjoyed the great service and rates from the Hawarden Municipal Utilities,” says Brennan. Iowa Lamb employs 110 individuals in its Hawarden plant.

LG Everist

Established over a hundred years ago, LG Everist is an industrial leader in the production of crushed stone, gravel and other mined stone products. As the supplier for numerous major construction projects throughout the Midwest, LG Everist depends on a good transportation network and a central geographic location. The company also operates D&I Railroad, a shortline connecting Sioux City, Iowa with points north of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. In recent years, the company has used its rail line and central location to land an Ash Grove Cement terminal, attracting concrete companies from the entire region.

Timber Roots Truss

Timber Roots MTD (Millwork, Truss and Distribution) centers are located strategically serving a 17-state region and now consist of 14 truss/panel and component manufacturing facilities, six distribution centers and seven millwork manufacturing plants. Although a relatively new division, Timber Roots’ parent company, the Lanoga Corporation, has origins that date back to 1855 in Winona, MN. The Hawarden site is primarily centered on custom truss manufacturing. The company benefits from Hawarden’s central location and access to rail for shipping raw materials. Timber Roots employs approximately 50 individuals at its Hawarden plant.
